Moving, rotating and resizing shapes — the foundation of all computer imagery.

How does a piece of software rotate an object on screen? By multiplying it by a matrix. This project has you implement the basic geometric transformations and introduces an elegant trick — homogeneous coordinates — that lets translation, rotation and resizing be handled with one and the same tool.

Implementing 2D transformations (translation, scaling, rotation, reflection) as 3×3 matrices in homogeneous coordinates, printed and then applied to a point.
