C++ POOL — DAY 01
CPicking C back up after six months of internship, by drawing fractals into a bitmap image.
First day of the C++ pool, and yet everything is still done in C: the goal is to bring everyone back up to speed before tackling object orientation. The day's programme is enjoyable — generating geometric figures and writing them into a real image file you can then open and look at.
C refresher exercises: hand-written packed BMP header, recursive generation of a Menger sponge, minimum-cost path search in a pyramid of numbers, and a square-drawing primitive over an image buffer.

03 // KEY OUTCOMES
- A compliant BMP header written by hand, byte by byte
- A Menger sponge generated recursively
BEYOND THE BRIEF
- A clean separation between writing the BMP header and the drawing primitives, reusable from one exercise to the next
